Yvonne Hohner Contemporary
Established in 2021 by Yvonne Hohner, Yvonne Hohner Contemporary developed from Galerie Klinger in Dresden, founded in 1981 by Eberhard Klinger. Yvonne Hohner began refining the gallery’s profile in 2018 before establishing the current gallery, bringing continuity and innovation into dialogue.
Its programme focuses on artists with compelling stories and on the ways art can reveal how others experience the world. It connects individual perspectives with wider social contexts, exploring relationships between personal experience and collective life.
Yvonne Hohner’s approach is attentive to different cultures, biographies and viewpoints. It reflects an interest in the international perspectives created through the diverse experiences of people within German society. The gallery’s guiding position is expressed through the idea of art in dialogue with the world.
The gallery has participated in ART KARLSRUHE since 2017, as well as Contemporary Istanbul in 2023 and Positions Berlin in 2024. In 2024, it developed its first institutional collaborations with the Badisches Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe and the Städtische Galerie Fruchthalle in Rastatt.
