Marie Pic
A23 ●Born in Clermont-Ferrand in 1996, Marie Pic is a French ceramic artist. She graduated in 2021 from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art et de Design de Limoges with a DNSEP in Art specialising in ceramics. Since 2024, she has been a resident at the CAP Saint-Fons studios.
Her practice explores notions of passage and threshold through sculptural forms that bring architecture into dialogue with the plant world. Her doors and gateways in bas-relief draw inspiration from Art Nouveau and seventeenth-century jewellery, combining formal rigour with organic motifs. In these works, ornament becomes structure.
Marie Pic is the winner of the ceramic brussels jury prize 2026. She was chosen among the 10 laureates and has won the opportunity to exhibit his work during ceramic brussels 2027.
