Les filles du calvaire
A11 ●Founded in 1996 by Stéphane Magnan in Paris’ Marais district, Les filles du calvaire established its original space at 17 rue des Filles du Calvaire. In 2023, it opened a second space at 21 rue Chapon, extending its commitment to supporting artists.
Since its beginnings, the gallery has explored contemporary creation through a diverse range of media. Its programme encompasses conceptual art, photography, painting, sculpture, video and performance, reflecting an interest in new artistic languages.
The gallery develops lasting relationships with artists from different backgrounds. It has established particularly close connections with the French and international photographic scenes, supporting historical figures and pioneers of contemporary art.
Its activities include participation in fairs in France and abroad, alongside collaborations with institutions and independent curators. Across its two spaces, it provides a platform for emerging and established artists within the Parisian and international art scenes.
