Founded in 2006 at 12 rue Saint-Rémy in central Liège, Galerie Christine Colon develops its curatorial identity around the encounter between artworks and viewers. Its approach encourages contemplation, allowing the artist’s individual life and trajectory to inform the meanings encountered in the work.

The gallery is directed by Christine Colon, who holds a qualification in art expertise awarded by the Chambre des Antiquaires de Belgique. Pierre Hubeaux-Colon, who holds a master’s degree in Romance philology and literature from the University of Liège, is also involved in the gallery.

Its exhibitions are conceived as spaces in which artworks reveal themselves through the viewer’s attention and curiosity. Throughout the year, the gallery presents solo, duo and group exhibitions, often based on research shared by the participating artists.

The programme also extends beyond the gallery through contemporary art fairs and occasional events, with exhibition design adapted to the host venue. Through ongoing collaboration with initiatives led by the City of Liège and other cultural institutions, the gallery contributes to a network of events supporting the vitality of the local artistic landscape.
