Chiguer art contemporain is dedicated to avant-garde art, showcasing a wide range of contemporary practices, including painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles and installation. The gallery represents some twenty established Canadian artists, many of whom have earned national and international recognition.

By supporting experimentation, innovation and its artists’ development in Quebec, across Canada and internationally, Chiguer art contemporain actively works to raise the visibility of their practices and strengthen the place of contemporary art in society.

Founded nearly twelve years ago as Galerie 3, the gallery became Chiguer art contemporain in 2023. It has since established a presence in Montreal’s Belgo Building, in the heart of downtown, and opened a third exhibition space in May 2025 at Place-Royale in Old Quebec. With locations in Quebec City and Montreal, the gallery is led by its founder, Abdelilah Chiguer, who has been committed to promoting Canadian contemporary art and expanding its reach for more than fifteen years.
