Skog Art Space
SKOG is a partially self-managed art space located in Galgeberg, Oslo, founded in the autumn of 2022. The space actively prioritises exhibitions focused on material-based art and recently established artists. It views this as an important contribution to Oslo’s art scene. Its goal is to create a dynamic and unconventional art venue in the eastern part of the city.
The space considers it particularly important to provide emerging artists with access to exhibition opportunities. For this reason, it prioritises this group in its exhibition and residency programme. At the same time, SKOG believes that emerging and more experienced artists should exchange knowledge across generations and disciplines. The space actively fosters this interaction through networks and exhibitions. It often programmes one emerging artist alongside one more established artist in the same exhibition.
