Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramic
The Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramics, founded in 2011 and based in the historic Daugavpils Fortress, is the leading institution dedicated to promoting ceramic art in Latvia and the Baltic region. Alongside organizing major events such as the Latvia Ceramics Biennale, the Martinsons Award, and international symposiums, the Centre actively publishes catalogues that document and celebrate contemporary ceramic practices.
Its publishing activity focuses on artists from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, with a mission to both archive the evolving history of Baltic ceramics and introduce emerging and established artists to a wider international audience. We produce at least five catalogues annually, including exhibition catalogues, solo artist catalogues, and thematic publications—distributed both locally and through international partnerships with major ceramic institutions.
